well, it’s over. Christmas came and went. I hope you had a wonderful holiday!! We enjoyed family and a little less mess. I didn’t take everything out this year of my storage bins and it was wonderful!!! So clean up has been quick and easy!! But I wanted to share a few pics with you of our Christmas decor and style from this year…

I found all of my wrapping paper, tags and ribbon at Target this year! I was super impressed with their Sugar Paper line. The best part is that I chose paper I could use year round!!! This means no wasted paper!!! I am thrilled about that part. I always feel a little tinge of guilt throwing away Christmas paper….or even worse….trying to save it until the next year and it’s all crinkled and gross by then.

The Santa cake was from Jen’s Sugarlicious Bakery in NC.  Her cakes are amazing. This one was a red velvet but I prefer her Cherry Lemon Sundrop Cake or her Strawberry Cake. YUM and YUM.

And the Christmas Tree was the flocked tree from Walmart that I previously posted about HERE. I could leave it up year round. It’s that pretty and doesn’t overwhelm the room.

I have also been cooking up a storm (I guess when I have time off, I get creative and want to cook!)…and cleaning out bins, drawers, and my pantry like it’s spring. Anyone else? I’m also all in the mood to go through my closet and clean it OUT. Everything has got to go. I’m in the mood to streamline things and want to absolutely LOVE everything that is in my closet. If I don’t love it or haven’t worn it in two seasons, it’s gone. AND I’m ready to make room for some quality pieces that I love to put on every single time I see them. So I have lots of goals I guess you could say!

Meanwhile, my kids are having their post Christmas heyday…playing for hours indoors and outside (it’s actually 60 degrees outside today in NC!). While they do that, I’m busy responding to my fabulous customers, writing this blog and enjoying my fave gifts!! Can I show you my favorites?!!

My new Kendra Scott necklace and earring set! He did good right?? (Just in case you were wondering, he had major help from our oldest Elf.)

Also my sister-in-law gave me a Teavana set!!! I’ve always wanted one of these and I’m so excited to start using it!! I posted my first experience with it on my Instagram story so be sure to follow me there too under Shannon Gouch. Let’s be friends!

 

One of my besties gave me a silk pillowcase which I can’t wait to use!!! More details to come with a report on how you can keep that stylish hair!! haha

And my mom gave me a set of the BUXOM lip gloss that I’m pretty much obsessed with. It tingles on my lips which of course makes me feel like it’s working.

Okay, what about the gifts I didn’t like?? Well, I always am thankful for everything because it’s truly the thought that counts. But let’s just say, this card made me laugh out loud…
